HIGHLIGHTS
-
A Sustainable Hospitality Project
Set to open in 2025, the Speluca brewery and hotel will revitalize an underused area on the village’s outskirts. The project combines an old barn, an abandoned hotel from the 1960s, and new structures designed by Iseppi&Ganzoni, ensuring that the architecture reflects the historic village landscape. This initiative aims to attract sporty guests passionate about culture and cuisine while fostering local production and hospitality.
-
New Accommodation Initiatives
The Rheinwald Resort AG is developing a tourist accommodation project at the valley station of the cable cars. This ambitious plan includes a mix of managed accommodations, diverse infrastructure, and a new campsite to encourage longer stays. The initiative has garnered community support for expanding three-season tourism, and the design, influenced by the old village’s aesthetics, will be executed by the renowned Herzog & de Meuron architecture firm.
