A countryside garden paradise

Jingzhu village has integrated agriculture with tourism activities. Alongside it’s beautiful countryside, the village has built Guiyuan Tourist Hamlet as an agriculture-based artistic pastoral complex with various ethnic features under the theme of “Garden Manor Paradise”.

The village is working towards preservation of cultural heritage, including wax printing, bamboo weaving, playing wood and leaf based musical instruments, traditional pickle making, palm fibre weaving, and traditional earthenware.

The village hosts regular cultural activities such as country dance parties, concerts, wine parties and a drama of Impression Wulong with Bayu cultural characteristics. It also organises large-scale professional sports events throughout the year such as the International Mountain Outdoor Sports Open, the International Marathon, and the 100 km cross-country race.

Blending garden, manor and paradise

The village has integrated agriculture with the cultural tourism of tourist attractions, pastoral complexes and industrial parks to balance tourism development and the protection of local cultural heritage.

Guiyuan art agriculture has inspired several outdoor proposals including the creation of an exotic garden and organic planting projects. Additionally, the village has transformed residential houses into characteristic farmsteads and rural B&Bs which offer employment opportunities for local villagers.

Touring with mobile phone

The village has developed smart tour projects to provide intelligent services for tourists by using mobile Internet, and big data technology. The application of multimedia and 5G has introduced the digital era of smart tourism to the village which, in turn, has successfully met the individual needs of tourists.

Agricultural Products of Chongqing

The main objective of Chongqing is to promote “villagers’ participation” in this initiative by means of encouraging them to engage in all stages of the productive process, in addition to viewing the finished products. 

This is a branding initiative to support the village in building a sales platform promoting the employment of residents and to increase tourism income. This has led to an increase in the villager’s income and has contributed to reducing poverty rates across the region.
