Taquile es uno de los pocos lugares en la regi\u00f3n de Puno, al sur de Per\u00fa, donde se mantienen vivas las costumbres y tradiciones ancestrales de la regi\u00f3n. El pueblo de Taquile, est\u00e1 ubicado en medio del Lago navegable m\u00e1s alto del mundo, El Titicaca. El pueblo es una isla en el lago, conocida por la conservaci\u00f3n de sus recursos naturales, sus valores culturales ancestrales y sobre todo por el arte textil, que es una pr\u00e1ctica diaria de hombres y mujeres de todas las edades.<\/p>

Hasta la d\u00e9cada de 1950, los habitantes de Taquile estuvieron aislados de la vida m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del lago. Esto permiti\u00f3 que el sentido de comunidad se fortalezca entre sus familias. Esta caracter\u00edstica se evidencia hasta hoy en d\u00eda en la forma en la organizaci\u00f3n y la toma de decisiones colectiva.<\/p>

El patrimonio cultural y natural de Taquile ha sido reconocido mundialmente. El Lago Titicaca, que rodea la isla de Taquile, fue inscrito en la Lista Indicativa del Patrimonio Mundial de la Convenci\u00f3n de UNESCO de 1972, y el arte textil de Taquile fue incluido en la Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad en 2005. La tradici\u00f3n textil en Taquile se remonta a las antiguas civilizaciones Inca, Pukara y Colla, por lo que mantiene vivos elementos de las culturas prehisp\u00e1nicas en el altiplano.<\/p>

Taquile ha trabajado para promover y registrar su patrimonio cultural. En el a\u00f1o 2015, con el apoyo del Ministerio de Cultura y el auspicio de UNESCO, se public\u00f3 el libro \u201cTextiles Tradicionales de Taquile\u201d, que sistematiza el inventario de prendas tradicionales desarrollado en el marco del Proyecto de Fortalecimiento la Transmisi\u00f3n del Conocimiento Textil Tradicional de Taquile.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Los taquile\u00f1os aprenden el arte del tejido textil de su padre o madre, dependiendo de su g\u00e9nero. Este proceso comienza desde la ni\u00f1ez y, adem\u00e1s de convertirlos en h\u00e1biles tejedores, les inculca el amor y aprecio por su cultura. Los hombres producen chullos y las mujeres cinturones, llicllas y bolsos. La Municipalidad Distrital de Taquile, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y Protecci\u00f3n de la Propiedad Intelectual, adelanta un proyecto de registro colectivo de marcas. Este proceso facilita la identificaci\u00f3n del origen, atributos \u00fanicos y caracter\u00edsticas comunes de los productos o servicios de los productores, artesanos o microempresas del sector tur\u00edstico aldeano. Taquile implement\u00f3 el modelo de turismo rural comunitario. Este modelo de gesti\u00f3n colectiva respeta el modo de vida tradicional de la isla y promueve el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico de toda la comunidad. Los ingresos por actividades tur\u00edsticas se distribuyen equitativamente entre las familias de Taquile. Adem\u00e1s, los servicios tur\u00edsticos se gestionan de forma rotativa y equitativa.
