Jalpa de C\u00e1novas, reconocido como \u201cPueblo M\u00e1gico\u201d en M\u00e9xico, pertenece al municipio de Pur\u00edsima del Rinc\u00f3n, Guanajuato. Es un lugar rodeado de agua, membrillos y nueces de nogal que alguna vez fue la hacienda de Manuel C\u00e1novas, de all\u00ed su nombre. De la hacienda se conserva la casa se\u00f1orial y la parroquia. Con gran patrimonio arquitect\u00f3nico, con un paisaje natural envidiable y tierras f\u00e9rtiles que han permitido la proliferaci\u00f3n de haciendas agr\u00edcolas y ganaderas, es el sitio perfecto para degustar la comida tradicional de Guanajuato. La ubicaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica de Jalopa de C\u00e1novas y la vocaci\u00f3n participativa de su gente influyeron para tener un rol activo durante la Revoluci\u00f3n Mexicana.<\/p>

La administraci\u00f3n de Jalpa de C\u00e1novas ha priorizado el desarrollo rural y el combate a la despoblaci\u00f3n. En las \u00faltimas dos d\u00e9cadas el porcentaje de migraci\u00f3n ha ido aumentando hasta llegar al 20%. Mediante la inversi\u00f3n p\u00fablica y privada en Jalpa, desde el a\u00f1o 2012, se ha mejorado el acceso a la comunidad, los servicios b\u00e1sicos y se ha fortalecido la identidad de la poblaci\u00f3n local. Tambi\u00e9n, el fortalecimiento de la cadena de valor tur\u00edstica ha trascendido con la oferta de empleos en la regi\u00f3n, provocando que personas se trasladen a Jalpa por trabajo.<\/p>

Dentro del patrimonio cultural de Jalpa de C\u00e1novas se destaca su gastronom\u00eda. Entre sus platos emblema est\u00e1n el caldo de zorra o xoconostle, el mole de nuez y las enchiladas con cecina, ates y bebidas con base en la nuez y el membrillo. \u201cViva Jalpa\u201d es una iniciativa creativa e innovadora que nace de la colaboraci\u00f3n entre diferentes proveedores de servicios del pueblo. Fue dise\u00f1ado para integrar varias cadenas productivas locales en un solo producto tur\u00edstico, invitando a los visitantes a pasar dos d\u00edas y una noche en el pueblo. Desde 2022, nueve proveedores tur\u00edsticos han gestionado esta iniciativa. La producci\u00f3n de alimentos derivados del membrillo y la nuez, parte integral y tradicional de Jalpa, se ha consolidado exitosamente como un alimento b\u00e1sico durante diversos eventos realizados en el pueblo, formando parte integral de su oferta tur\u00edstica. Jalpa de C\u00e1novas cuenta con un \u201cComit\u00e9 Ciudadano\u201d, entidad con la facultad de aprobar proyectos que impulsen el desarrollo tur\u00edstico del pueblo. Adem\u00e1s, se planifica el desarrollo tur\u00edstico de la localidad de acuerdo con las orientaciones marcadas en la Estrategia Tur\u00edstica 2022-2024, que engloba el corredor Pur\u00edsima de Bustos-Jalpa de C\u00e1novas.
