El pueblo de Sehwa ha demostrado su capacidad de resistencia ante la adversidad superando crisis econ\u00f3micas tras el declive de sus industrias primarias. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, los ingresos procedentes del principal cultivo del pueblo, la zanahoria, han disminuido considerablemente. Las actividades pesqueras tambi\u00e9n disminuyeron, dejando s\u00f3lo cinco barcos en el pueblo. Como consecuencia, los residentes propusieron utilizar el turismo como fuente de ingresos.<\/p>

La decisi\u00f3n ha sido promovida por el gobierno de Jeju-do a trav\u00e9s de la preservaci\u00f3n de los ecosistemas locales, los valores y la cultura del pueblo. El gobierno local tambi\u00e9n ha puesto en marcha programas de excursiones para promover y preservar las pr\u00e1cticas culturales hist\u00f3ricas.

Los l\u00edmites de los campos de zanahorias est\u00e1n marcados por \u201cBatdam\u201d, que son cercas de piedra de 1.000 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad construidas alrededor de los cultivos para combatir los fuertes vientos, evitar la evaporaci\u00f3n y separar el ganado de los campos, por nombrar s\u00f3lo algunas de sus funciones principales. El pueblo se esfuerza por mantener la cultura rural y su legado mediante programas de exploraci\u00f3n de los Batdam. Adem\u00e1s, el pueblo repara regularmente las cercas para preservar sus aspectos funcionales y est\u00e9ticos, as\u00ed como mantener las \u00e1reas de cultivo que han sido reconocidas por la Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Agricultura y la Alimentaci\u00f3n (FAO) como Sistema de Patrimonio Agr\u00edcola de Importancia Mundial (SIPAM).

Sehwa posee una amplia gama de recursos naturales. Entre ellos est\u00e1 Darangswi Oreum, un volc\u00e1n par\u00e1sito que fue seleccionado como Hito de Jeju Oreum por el gobierno de Jeju-do. Para los amantes del mar, la playa de Sehwa posee aguas poco profundas siendo un espacio ideal que naden los ni\u00f1os.

Toda la isla de Jeju-do, donde se encuentra el pueblo, ha sido declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad y Reserva de la Biosfera por la UNESCO. El pueblo participa activamente en varios proyectos del gobierno central y recibe ayuda financiera. En 2015, recibi\u00f3 8.600 millones de KRW para remodelar el Centro Tur\u00edstico de Jilgeuraengi. En 2019, 477 residentes recaudaron juntos 270 millones de wones para establecer la cooperativa Sehwa Maeul. Es la cooperativa m\u00e1s grande de Corea, en la que la mayor\u00eda de los residentes participan en la decisi\u00f3n de los negocios del pueblo.<\/p>

Este nuevo modelo implica que los residentes cooperen en el turismo y compartan una visi\u00f3n para el desarrollo del pueblo.<\/p>

La cooperativa Sehwa Maeul apoya activamente a quienes crean empresas en las aldeas. La popularidad de los mercados de pulgas en el pasado llev\u00f3 a que se abrieran peque\u00f1as tiendas y los aldeanos ofrecieran programas de experiencias, una tendencia que contin\u00faa en la actualidad.<\/p>

Adem\u00e1s, la aldea apoya a empresas que utilizan zanahorias, el cultivo principal de la aldea. La experiencia Haenyeo<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La cultura Haenyeo, celebrada como patrimonio cultural intangible de la humanidad, se ha transformado ingeniosamente en programas experienciales inmersivos que ofrecen un vistazo a las vidas de estas extraordinarias mujeres.<\/p>

Dentro de este para\u00edso cultural, se ha dise\u00f1ado meticulosamente todo un entorno de aldea, completo con un museo y un \u00e1rea designada para que los Haenyeo se pongan su equipo de buceo. Estos elementos giran en torno a los Haenyeos, cuya cultura se ha ganado la prestigiosa designaci\u00f3n de Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad.<\/p>

Los programas tur\u00edsticos, cuidadosamente dise\u00f1ados para brindar una experiencia aut\u00e9ntica, se operan con fines de lucro.<\/p>

Incluso hoy, 10 resilientes Haenyeo contin\u00faan buceando y recolectando productos del mar, desempe\u00f1ando activamente su papel vital tanto en sus hogares como en la econom\u00eda local. De hecho, los Jeju Haenyeos por s\u00ed solos contribuyen significativamente, representando m\u00e1s del 50% del ingreso pesquero total de Jeju.<\/p>

La versatilidad de las zanahorias<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La zanahoria es el principal cultivo del pueblo. Sehwa se centr\u00f3 en las zanahorias para desarrollar diversos productos y promovi\u00f3 este activo del pueblo. En este proceso participaron residentes y profesionales. Desarrollaron productos de procesamiento secundario a base de zanahorias (jugos, boller\u00eda), dise\u00f1aron productos y programas experimentales. Estos se organizaron en el marco de los programas de bienestar de la Organizaci\u00f3n de Turismo de Jeju (JTO) y KaReum Stay, una marca integrada de Jeju Village Tours.<\/p>

Otro objetivo es trabajar en la difusi\u00f3n de contenidos relacionados con la zanahoria en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y desarrollar productos elaborados a partir de dibujos de zanahorias realizados por ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
