data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La iniciativa\u00a0<strong>Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO<\/strong>\u00a0se puso en marcha para fomentar el papel del turismo en la preservaci\u00f3n de los pueblos rurales y sus paisajes, su diversidad natural y cultural, as\u00ed como sus valores y actividades locales, sin olvidar la gastronom\u00eda.<\/p><p>En la edici\u00f3n de 2021, se ha otorgado el reconocimiento de la iniciativa a un total de\u00a0<strong>44 pueblos de 32 pa\u00edses\u00a0<\/strong>de las cinco regiones del mundo. Todos ellos se caracterizan por sus recursos naturales y culturales, sus enfoques innovadores y transformadores, y su compromiso con el desarrollo del turismo, en consonancia con los\u00a0<strong>Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS)<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Un comit\u00e9 asesor independiente se encarg\u00f3 de valorar los pueblos con arreglo a una serie de criterios definidos por nueve \u00e1reas de evaluaci\u00f3n:<\/p><ul><li>Recursos culturales y naturales<\/li><li>Promoci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n de los recursos culturales<\/li><li>Sostenibilidad econ\u00f3mica<\/li><li>Sostenibilidad social<\/li><li>Sostenibilidad ambiental<\/li><li>Potencial y desarrollo tur\u00edstico e integraci\u00f3n en la cadena de valor<\/li><li>Gobernanza y priorizaci\u00f3n del turismo<\/li><li>Infraestructura y conectividad<\/li><li>Salud y seguridad<\/li><\/ul><p>Los 44 pueblos seleccionados obtuvieron un m\u00ednimo de 80 puntos de los 100 que aspiraban a alcanzar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1ea377d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1ea377d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>\u00abEl turismo puede ser un motor de cohesi\u00f3n e inclusi\u00f3n social gracias al fomento de una distribuci\u00f3n m\u00e1s justa de los beneficios en todo el territorio y el empoderamiento de las comunidades locales\u00bb, afirma Zurab Pololikashvili, secretario general de la OMT. \u00abEsta iniciativa otorga un reconocimiento a los pueblos que han demostrado su compromiso con el turismo como un robusto impulsor de desarrollo y bienestar\u00bb.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-28a6c53 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"28a6c53\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8d983e1\" data-id=\"8d983e1\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f0886ff elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f0886ff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La iniciativa Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO est\u00e1 conformada por tres pilares: \u00a0<\/p><ol><li><strong>El reconocimiento de \u00abBest Tourism Villages by UNWTO\u00bb<\/strong>, cuyo objeto consiste en identificar a los pueblos que sean ejemplos sobresalientes de destino de turismo rural con activos culturales y naturales reconocidos, que preserven y promuevan valores, productos y estilos de vida rurales y comunitarios y que defiendan un compromiso manifiesto con la innovaci\u00f3n y la sostenibilidad en todas sus vertientes \u2013econ\u00f3mica, social y ambiental\u2013.<\/li><li><strong>El programa Upgrade Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO<\/strong>, que beneficiar\u00e1 a los pueblos que no cumplan plenamente con los criterios necesarios para ser reconocidos como \u00abBest Tourism Village by UNWTO\u00bb. Estos pueblos recibir\u00e1n el respaldo de la OMT y de sus socios con miras a que mejoren en las \u00e1reas en las que, durante el proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n, se observen carencias.<\/li><li><strong>La red Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO<\/strong>, un espacio para intercambiar experiencias y buenas pr\u00e1cticas, aprendizajes y oportunidades. Contar\u00e1 con la participaci\u00f3n de los representantes tanto de los pueblos galardonados con el reconocimiento como \u00abBest Tourism Village by UNWTO\u00bb, como de los que intervienen en el programa Upgrade, adem\u00e1s de con especialistas y socios de los sectores p\u00fablico y privado que mantengan un compromiso con la promoci\u00f3n del turismo en aras del desarrollo rural.<\/li><\/ol><p>Un total de 75 Estados Miembros de la OMT propusieron 174 pueblos, habida cuenta de que cada Estado Miembro pod\u00eda presentar un m\u00e1ximo de tres candidaturas para la iniciativa piloto de 2021. Entre ellos, 44 fueron reconocidos como \u00abBest Tourism Villages by UNWTO\u00bb y otros 20 pueblos participar\u00e1n en el programa Upgrade Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO. Los 64 pueblos reconocidos y participantes en el programa, por ende, entran a formar parte de la red Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO.<\/p><p>La pr\u00f3xima edici\u00f3n se inaugurar\u00e1 en febrero
