habitantes, situado en la regi\u00f3n de Las Marcas. Ha sido un centro de cultura y aprendizaje desde la Edad Media, cuando era una de las ciudades m\u00e1s importantes del marquesado de Ancona y del ducado de Camerino. San Ginesio es famosa por sus 100 iglesias, que albergan un importante patrimonio art\u00edstico. El santo patr\u00f3n de la ciudad es el protector cat\u00f3lico del teatro y de los actores, por lo que la historia de San Ginesio est\u00e1 ligada inextricablemente a las artes esc\u00e9nicas y a los teatros. El primer teatro permanente de la regi\u00f3n de las Marcas se construy\u00f3 en San Ginesio en 1547.    <\/p><p>En San Ginesio tambi\u00e9n naci\u00f3 Alberico Gentili, un jurista del siglo XVI que escribi\u00f3 mucho sobre derecho internacional. Fue reclutado por la corte de la reina Isabel I de Inglaterra y por la Universidad de Oxford. Hoy en d\u00eda, un Centro de Estudios del pueblo conserva su herencia intelectual. \u00abScipione Gentili\u00bb, conserva cuadros de artistas como Simone De Magistris y Nicola Da Siena.<\/p><p>Hablando de patrimonio natural, a San Ginesio se le llama el \u00abBalc\u00f3n de los Sibillini\u00bb: su posici\u00f3n \u00fanica en los montes Sibillini permite una vista impresionante, que abarca desde el Monte Conero y el Mar Adri\u00e1tico hasta el monte Gran Sasso.<\/p><p>La ciudad se encuentra en el Parque Nacional de los Sibillini, un maravilloso escenario natural salpicado de grandes bosques e impresionantes desfiladeros, con un rico patrimonio en historia medieval y cuentos populares (como el de Sibilla, la antigua hechicera de la que toman el nombre los
