Cosme y Dami\u00e1n<\/strong> est\u00e1 ubicada en el sur del departamento de Itap\u00faa, a 333 kil\u00f3metros de la ciudad de Asunci\u00f3n, a orillas del R\u00edo Paran\u00e1.Cuenta con aproximadamente 10.454 habitantes. El distrito de San Cosme y Dami\u00e1n, es donde se encuentran los restos arquitect\u00f3nicos de las Reducciones Jesu\u00edticas que revisten mayor importancia en Paraguay. Entre sus atractivos, se encuentra tambi\u00e9n el Centro de Interpretaci\u00f3n Astron\u00f3mico o Planetario denominado Buenaventura Su\u00e1rez.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La agricultura, la ganader\u00eda y la pesca son las actividades de un pueblo que hoy erige al turismo como principal motor econ\u00f3mico del pueblo. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">El distrito forma parte de dos rutas tur\u00edsticas, la Ruta Jesu\u00edtica y la Ruta de la Yerba Mate, esta \u00faltima basada especialmente en las actividades del agro. Por su ubicaci\u00f3n en las riberas del R\u00edo Paran\u00e1, la pesca tambi\u00e9n es una de sus actividades principales. As\u00ed, se cuenta con una Asociaci\u00f3n de Pescadores Ribere\u00f1os y cada a\u00f1o se realiza el Festival del Pescado.  <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La visi\u00f3n del pueblo sobre la contribuci\u00f3n del turismo al desarrollo rural se refleja en la apuesta que hacen los pobladores a este sector. Un caso exitoso en este pueblo son las Posadas Tur\u00edsticas, casas de familia donde aparte de alojarse, el visitante puede vivir la experiencia de estar en el seno de una familia t\u00edpica paraguaya, consumir comidas tradicionales y alimentos elaborados con verduras producidas por los propietarios en sus huertas org\u00e1nicas: \u201cde la huerta al plato\u201d. Actualmente el pueblo cuenta con 15 establecimientos de este tipo. Por el inter\u00e9s que tienen los habitantes en el desarrollo del turismo, se han formado varias asociaciones como la Asociaci\u00f3n de Prestadores de Servicios Tur\u00edsticos, Posadas y Restaurantes, la Asociaci\u00f3n de Promoci\u00f3n y Desarrollo de Turismo Ecol\u00f3gico y de Aventura y la Asociaci\u00f3n de Feriantes, todas estas tienen como fin el fortalecimiento del turismo en la comunidad de San Cosme y Dami\u00e1n.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sus aguas cristalinas, un paisaje natural exuberante, su vasta historia, la religi\u00f3n, la ciencia, la astronom\u00eda, la cultura y las vivencias sin igual, se conjugan en este hermoso pueblo que es de visita obligatoria en Paraguay para disfrutar de experiencias \u00fanicas.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559740\":259}\">
