La regi\u00f3n de Miyama<\/strong>se encuentra a 50 kil\u00f3metros al norte de la ciudad de Kioto. Rodeada de monta\u00f1as, es una zona virgen en la que todav\u00eda florece el tradicional estilo de vida campestre de Satoyama. Situada en la zona adyacente a la antigua capital de Kioto, la zona a\u00fan conserva una variedad de rituales y festivales tradicionales de m\u00e1s de 300 a\u00f1os de historia, una parte de ellos registrados como Importante Bien Cultural Inmaterial de Kioto. <\/span><\/p>

Una particularidad de Miyama son las casas tradicionales japonesas con techo de paja, designadas como Distrito de Preservaci\u00f3n Importante para Grupos de Edificios Hist\u00f3ricos en 1993. El techado con paja es una t\u00e9cnica de techado de pasto que se ha utilizado ampliamente en varias estructuras desde la antig\u00fcedad en todo Jap\u00f3n. Las habilidades, t\u00e9cnicas y conocimientos de \u00abkayabuki\u00bb se han registrado recientemente como patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la UNESCO junto con otras habilidades arquitect\u00f3nicas tradicionales en Jap\u00f3n. Cuando el pueblo con techo de paja de Miyama fue designado como uno de los patrimonios nacionales, los residentes del pueblo con techo de paja establecieron la convenci\u00f3n, o la regulaci\u00f3n del pueblo con techo de paja, para asegurar la preservaci\u00f3n de las propiedades culturales e hist\u00f3ricas del pueblo con techo de paja, para proteger el paisaje natural y evitar el turismo excesivo. Por ejemplo, la convenci\u00f3n restringe la construcci\u00f3n de nuevas instalaciones comerciales en los edificios hist\u00f3ricos, mientras que el gobierno local y nacional ofrece subsidios para cambiar el techo de las casas con techo de paja, cubriendo casi el 80 % del gasto. <\/p>

Miyama participa activamente en la promoci\u00f3n de la agricultura sostenible para la conservaci\u00f3n de las tierras y para una sociedad descarbonizada. El Consejo de Ecoturismo de Miyama tiene como objetivo promover el ecoturismo en Miyama (ciudad de Nantan) mediante la colaboraci\u00f3n de los residentes locales y los agentes tur\u00edsticos locales del sector privado y p\u00fablico.
