Le village est nomm\u00e9 d’apr\u00e8s la magnifique \u00ab\u00a0Chute d’eau de Lephis\u00a0\u00bb, qui traverse une dense for\u00eat de la \u00ab\u00a0Zone foresti\u00e8re de Gambo\u00a0\u00bb g\u00e9r\u00e9e par l’Entreprise des For\u00eats et de la Faune de l’Oromia. Le village repr\u00e9sente principalement la localit\u00e9 en tant qu’initiative touristique communautaire de marque, le Village \u00c9cotouristique de Lephis. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Le \u00ab\u00a0Village \u00c9cotouristique de Lephis\u00a0\u00bb se distingue comme une initiative de tourisme communautaire soutenue par l’Alliance \u00c9thiopienne pour un Tourisme Durable (ESTA), qui a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 monter un projet organis\u00e9 avec des \u00e9tudes de faisabilit\u00e9 et une participation active de la communaut\u00e9. Cette r\u00e9alisation a non seulement conduit \u00e0 une reconnaissance importante du site, mais lui a \u00e9galement valu des \u00e9loges au niveau national. Le succ\u00e8s de l’entreprise dans le village d\u00e9coule des efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par diff\u00e9rents acteurs pour maintenir une solide structure du village, un flot continu des op\u00e9rations commerciales et un esprit innovateur, surtout pendant les moments difficiles li\u00e9s \u00e0 la maladie du COVID-19 et aux fluctuations du march\u00e9 au sein de la Coop\u00e9rative \u00c9cotouristique de Lephis qui en ont suivi. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Lephis a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 en tant que communaut\u00e9 touristique unifi\u00e9e suffisamment innovatrice pour produire et fournir ses propres produits touristiques locaux. L’id\u00e9e de sa cr\u00e9ation et de son fonctionnement provient de la communaut\u00e9 elle-m\u00eame. Le programme pour les visiteurs est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par des guides touristiques professionnels, la production et la vente d’artisanat sont g\u00e9r\u00e9es par des femmes locales, alors que les habitants organisent des activit\u00e9s de balade \u00e0 cheval. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Association d'artisanat Mishike <\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The village prioritized the underrepresented women and\/or the unemployed to engage in the handicraft production and selling business and therefore established the Mishike Handicraft Association. This association symbolizes Lephis and is recognized as the most creative in using the local grass and bamboo trees as resources for creating artistic locally ornamented handicrafts. Mishike Handicraft Association was dominantly run by women who benefited economically and, subsequently, transformed their families lives. In such a manner, most of the members initially transformed and started new businesses even creating jobs for others. Hence, the cooperative proportionally replaces the new entrants including those who are disabled. Members of the handicraft producers and sellers travelled to India and gained experience from some of the best handicraft enterprises, and the program was a paradigm shift for its members. The village also receives continuous support from local authorities in the form of access to finance, technical support and extensive market linkages. Members of the handicrafts regularly participate in different trade shows and exhibitions, which promote their business and enable enlarged outlets in the capital, Addis Ababa. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le village a transform\u00e9 son festival traditionnel de l’\u00e9quitation en l’un des principaux produits touristiques propos\u00e9s par le village. Les touristes peuvent facilement interagir avec la communaut\u00e9 locale et acheter des forfaits touristiques. L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement, qui faisait partie de la vie de la communaut\u00e9 locale depuis des si\u00e8cles, \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 de diff\u00e9rentes c\u00e9r\u00e9monies de Arsi-Oromo, comprenant des louanges, des chansons et des coutumes traditionnelles. En particulier, l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement a ajout\u00e9 une valeur centrale \u00e0 la for\u00eat spectaculaire de Lephis et au paysage, ce qui a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 attirer davantage de visiteurs dans la r\u00e9gion. The event that the local community lived with for centuries was accompanied by different ceremonies of the Arsi-Oromo cultural activities of Praise, songs and traditional folks. La cr\u00e9ation de la Coop\u00e9rative d’\u00e9cotourisme de Lephis vise \u00e0 faire du tourisme ax\u00e9 sur la nature un moyen \u00e9conomique compl\u00e9mentaire pour la communaut\u00e9. Avant la transformation du village en une entreprise touristique formelle, les abondantes ressources naturelles \u00e9taient n\u00e9glig\u00e9es et utilis\u00e9es uniquement pour la simple consommation quotidienne.<\/p>\n

Le grand parapluie de la coop\u00e9rative abrite diff\u00e9rentes associations avec leurs propres objectifs uniques, \u0153uvrant pour une vision commune. La conservation de la for\u00eat et les services d’h\u00e9bergement respectueux de l’environnement offerts par la communaut\u00e9 sont des activit\u00e9s solides parfaitement compatibles avec la durabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le village a lanc\u00e9 l’initiative en utilisant des fonds de d\u00e9marrage collect\u00e9s en petits montants aupr\u00e8s des m\u00e9nages. L’initiative locale a ensuite suscit\u00e9 un investissement bas\u00e9 sur des projets soutenu par l’USAID \u00e0 travers le projet Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Alliance (ESTA), qui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une base commerciale solide sous forme d’une coop\u00e9rative. Le projet a efficacement pos\u00e9 les bases, \u00e9tablissant des installations touristiques qui ont dispens\u00e9 des programmes de renforcement des capacit\u00e9s et des liens commerciaux.
