D\u2019un marais salant \u00e0 une destination embl\u00e9matique du sous-continent indien occidental – Dhordo, dans le Rann de Kutch, est devenu l\u2019embl\u00e8me du d\u00e9veloppement du Gujarat. Le tourisme a propuls\u00e9 ce village, autrefois m\u00e9connu, sur la carte touristique mondiale.<\/p>

Le village m\u00e9rite d’\u00eatre f\u00e9licit\u00e9 pour ses r\u00e9alisations, en particulier compte tenu des difficult\u00e9s environnementales et g\u00e9ographiques auxquelles il est confront\u00e9, ce qui rend le d\u00e9veloppement de la r\u00e9gion extr\u00eamement difficile. De plus, le s\u00e9isme de Bhuj en 2001 a encore davantage d\u00e9vast\u00e9 ce village.<\/p>

L’initiative d’utiliser le tourisme comme un moyen cl\u00e9 pour mettre en avant ce qui entravait autrement le d\u00e9veloppement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la localit\u00e9 a produit des merveilles. Le tourisme a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 \u00e0 travers le Rann Utsav, un festival de quatre mois au cours duquel des tentes sp\u00e9cialement cr\u00e9\u00e9es dans la terre d\u00e9sertique avec toutes les commodit\u00e9s n\u00e9cessaires sont mises \u00e0 disposition des touristes. C’est au cours de ces quatre mois que le village prend vie en pr\u00e9sentant ses produits\/ressources naturels et culturels aux visiteurs. L’\u00e9conomie se d\u00e9veloppe car les produits sont promus au niveau national et international, et les consommateurs sont autant d\u00e9sireux de s’engager avec les ressources qu’ils veulent apprendre l’art de les cr\u00e9er.<\/p>

Les ressources naturelles et culturelles locales sont essentielles, c’est pourquoi la communaut\u00e9 et le gouvernement ont pris l’initiative de les conserver et de les utiliser de mani\u00e8re durable. L’\u00c9tat a initi\u00e9 la Politique du Tourisme du Patrimoine qui promeut la conservation des anciennes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s par le biais de partenariats public-priv\u00e9 ; la Politique du Tourisme du Gujarat, qui accorde des incitations financi\u00e8res aux investisseurs pour la construction de Bhungas en tant qu’h\u00e9bergements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

L’introduction de Rann Utsav a \u00e9t\u00e9 l’un des tournants du village. Rann Utsav est un festival annuel de 4 mois qui se d\u00e9roule de novembre \u00e0 f\u00e9vrier dans la ville des tentes. Lors du lancement, la fr\u00e9quentation des visiteurs est pass\u00e9e de 5 000 \u00e0 7 000. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement touristique unique dans le village a eu un effet catapultique sur la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 rurale avec des revenus augmentant de fa\u00e7on exponentielle ainsi que l’estime de soi des habitants.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Alors que le tourisme devient le principal moteur \u00e9conomique du Dhordo, le d\u00e9veloppement du secteur des services tertiaires a \u00e9t\u00e9 significatif. La cr\u00e9ation de banques, de guichets automatiques et les progr\u00e8s en mati\u00e8re de transactions num\u00e9riques se sont consid\u00e9rablement accrus. De plus, le village permet actuellement une couverture \u00e0 100 % des transactions num\u00e9riques sans num\u00e9raire via Gpay et PhonePe afin de rendre les paiements plus accessibles aux touristes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Des maisons rurales mais robustes<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Les maisons traditionnelles appel\u00e9es Bhungas sont utilis\u00e9es par les habitants et sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es comme des h\u00e9bergements touristiques offrant un aper\u00e7u des exp\u00e9riences locales. Les Bhungas sont des huttes circulaires en terre battue qui conservent le caract\u00e8re int\u00e9gral des r\u00e9gions d\u00e9sertiques de Kutch du Gujarat. Ces habitations sont r\u00e9sistantes au climat et pr\u00e9sentent une immense stabilit\u00e9 structurelle en cas de tremblement de terre. De plus, ils se d\u00e9fendent contre les vents cycloniques et les temp\u00eates de sable.<\/p>

\u00c0 la suite d’un tremblement de terre d\u00e9vastateur en 1819, les habitants de Kutch ont con\u00e7u le mod\u00e8le circulaire des bhungas, utilis\u00e9 depuis pr\u00e8s de 200 ans.<\/p>
